Topics

Frieda works for a world in which all people can live in dignity, peace, security, and free from violence. Through activities focusing on the following three priorities, Frieda contributes to a comprehensive, feminist peace. Protection and prevention of violence: women and those affected by (gender-specific) discrimination should be able to live free from violence. Economic and psychosocial empowerment: so that women are less economically dependent. Social and political participation: so that they can contribute to shaping economic and social frameworks by participating in societal and political decisions, sharing their perspectives, and being heard. Frieda's work is based on the analysis of gender-specific structural discrimination and follows an intersectional approach. Frieda runs programmes in Switzerland and is active in international cooperation.
